InkZone DigiDensi: Solid Performer with Unique Features
DigiDensi provides cost-effective evaluation of press sheets in a matter of seconds.DigiDensi employs a measuring head that has been tried and tested in the industry. With an aperture size of just 2 x 2 mm it can detect small-sized color bar patches as small as 3 x 3 millimeters (less than 1/8 inch square). And thanks to an optional, built-in polarization filter, the DigiDensi scanning device can compensate for differing results when reading density on wet and dry press sheets.
DigiDensi is integrated with InkZone Move Press Densi software to provide operator analysis and feedback.
The robust DigiDensi includes one of several motorized, digitally-controlled DC drives to bring automation to any size press: DC2 for 2-up sheet sizes (A3 plus), DC4 for 4-up sheet sizes (50 x 70 cm), or DC8 for 8-up sheet sizes (70 x 100 cm).
InkZone EyeOne: A Budget-Price Universal Solution
The motorized DC drive enables automatic pressroom scanning with X-Rite's affordable EyeOne.Best known for it’s accuracy and economy, the X-Rite EyeOne spectrophotometer is typically used in prepress for creating ICC profiles and calibrating proofing equipment. But now this nifty little spectro can be extended to provide quality assurance across the whole process of offset printing thanks to a clever integration with Digital Information’s InkZone Move software suite. Users can put the EyeOne to good use in any print shop. Operators in the pressroom get a versatile, spectral, scanning system when used with InkZone Move Press.
Most smaller press formats, like 52 cm (e.g. A3, 20", 2-up with 16 ink zones) or 70 cm (e.g. A4, 28", 4-up with 24 ink zones) can be hand-scanned efficiently using the IZM Press solution and the included precision guide. However, for larger press formats (A1, 100 cm, 40+", 8-up) and when businesses place a high value on operator convenience, a fully-automated recision guide is available for IZM Press. This auxiliary motor transforms the cost-effective Eye-One into a pressroom powerhouse, making quick work of color control bars with patches as small as 5 mm (0.20") in size.
Techkon: SpectroDrive, SpectroJet, RS400 and RS800
The Techkon SpectroDrive is a very fast means to measure color bars from the edge of press sheets. It delivers precise results regardless of the print substrate’s thickness. The SpectroDrive, with its automatic color and density measurement capabilities substantially increases press productivity by ensuring consistent print-to-print color accuracy throughout the press run.
The motorized measurement system scans the complete color bar on a printed sheet within seconds and simultaneously sends the spectral measurement data wirelessly to InkZone Move where all relevant information for controlling the printing press is displayed.
SpectroJet is a „spectrophotometer on wheels“ which automatically measures the densities and color values of process- and spot-colors and simultaneously transfers the measurement data to a PC within seconds.
Of course InkZone is fully compatible with the legacy Techkon measuring instruments RS400 and RS800.
X-Rite: Intellitrax, Easytrax, ATD and ATS
Semi-automated color scanning system with the X-Rite Easytrax.IntelliTrax is X-Rite’s advanced, automated color management scanning for press-side color control. Ultra-fast, IntelliTrax automatically scans the color bar of a typical press sheet in less than 15 seconds. InkZone Move reports these results on-screen instantly. IntelliTrax is the ideal color management solution for high-end, high speed printing operations.
EasyTrax is X-Rite’s semi-automated color scanning system for producing accurate CMYK and spot color jobs. Available in multiple press sizes from 20” to 40”, EasyTrax comes on a measurement board for easy installation and can be adapted to other after-market consoles. EasyTrax has the ability to take a scan measurement or spot measurement anywhere on the sheet making EasyTrax the perfect solution for press-side color control for smaller format color presses.
Of course InkZone is fully compatible with the legacy X-Rite measuring instruments ATS and ATD.
